Currently I am unable to find a way to change the primary connection method of a added device. While one can add a secondary ("Edit backup connection addresses") method, the primary is hard set.
If a connection must be edited for IP/DNS change, the device must be deleted & re-created, purging configuration history.
DynFi Manager: Ability to change primary connection/IP/DNS of device

Re: DynFi Manager: Ability to change primary connection/IP/DNS of device
This is correct.
In order to avoid all sorts of problems tied with device creation, we thought that It would be better NOT to allow editing a device after it has been setup.

Just wondering, is this something that can be re-thought? It would be great to be able to change the primary connection string without loosing the device history/configs etc.

Yes, this is something that can be rethought.
Today you should be able to use the secondary IP address and it shall be able to switch.

Re: DynFi Manager: Ability to change primary connection/IP/DNS of device
